The band sounded tremendous, as good as they do in the studio. I really liked how they moved around the stages so everyone in the audience had a view wherever they were sitting. The stage show was great, and the song selection was perfect: glad they didn't try any of their softer stuff or ballads, which just wouldn't have worked in that venue.
Ordering tickets online when they went on sale was nuts. No band is worth what they charged for tickets. I spent big money and ended up with seats that were just OK. I don't want to ever do that again. The phone app was irrelevant and added next to nothing to the experience. Besides, why would I want to watch a little screen when the real thing was in front of me?
Def Poetry Reunion was as animated as ever, but there was little emotion from the rest of the band, who seemed like they were playing show 25 out of a 100 city tour. There was an issue with the sound system; at times, there was a very annoying hum in the background, more pronounced at the beginning of the show and again towards the end.
